Becca Cosmetics Presents The “Holy Grail:” The Perfect Foundation
The first time I saw Becca cosmetics was in InStyle Magazine’s February 2010 issue. There was a photo displaying seems to be for spring, and a lip color and cheek colour by Becca were featured on the page. I checked Macy’s and the Sephora website, but could not discover the brand. I saw them once more in the June 2010 issue of Martha Stewart Residing, and determined to do a extra intense search. I found their website here and was amazed at the vary of basis, powder and concealer shades. Not 5 - 6, but fifteen shades of the moisturizer/foundation. Impressive, however a little bit costly (on my finances, anyway) at $42. So I set the concept aside, regardless that I used to be positive the lightest shade, Porcelain, would be good for me.
In late fall of 2010, I had the opportunity to buy some Becca make-up at lower than half of the retail price. I bought the foundation, referred to as Luminous Skin Colour, and was more than happy with it. It is much lighter than most liquid foundations, feeling extra like a tinted moisturizer, but offers wonderful protection, and I used to be proper about that lightest shade. Among different issues, the Luminous Pores and skin Colour accommodates SPF 25 safety, and anti-oxidants that embody nutritional vitamins A, B, D, and E, together with anti-inflammatory and antiseptic ingredients. It comes in a pump bottle that’s simple to use, and when utilized with a foundation brush, one or two small pumps will provide protection for your complete face. I’m impressed.
I learned that the rationale that is such an awesome foundation is that Becca founder, Rebecca Morrice Williams, a former make-up artist in Australia, wasn’t happy with the foundations available and set out to create what would be a perfect foundation that grew to become a three-Step Make-Up program that can give any skin colour a flawless look, concealing flaws and correcting problems like redness or under-eye darkness. I don’t have all three steps, just the Luminous Skin Color, which is each a moisturizer and a foundation. Becca’s flagship store is in Chelsea, London, so anybody on that aspect of the Atlantic can have a decadent expertise of a non-public make-over with chocolate and champagne. The remainder of us will have to select from the website for now.
I also bought a Créme Eye Colour (retails for $28) in a shade called Ametrine, a deep plum/mauve shade that goes on mild and shimmery. The Créme Eye Colors may be worn alone, providing a soft pure look, and blessedly not creeping into any wonderful lines or the crease of the eyelid. You too can apply one of many powder shadows excessive of it, or set it with a light-weight loose face powder. It is a great coloration for me, however you’ve 7 extra shades to choose from.
I am impressed with the line, and hope to have the ability to buy extra products sooner or later - if I have another opportunity to buy them for lower than retail! I have little question that they are definitely worth the price, however I have Chanel taste on a Maybelline funds, so I am going to have to avoid wasting up and anticipate a sale!
